If you know me personally, you know I am a Bowie fan - and I let myself GO to create something around the iconic symbol related to the iconic artist. Ironically (or not), the song appears on Bowie’s 6th studio album, Aladdin Sane on which he is made up with the well known flash across his face.
Many rumors are told about the cast of characters referred to in this song. Some relate to radical French writer, Jean Genet. Some to Cyrinda Fox who modeled Jean Genie Jeans and stared in the video (shot by Mick Rock). And some to to the dubbed Godfather of Punk, Mr. Iggy Pop.
Whichever cast or character you chose to be for the day, allow the Jean Genie to accompany you with its presence. This is a navy blue vintage Coach Lindsay bag (#9888) which stands out because of its unique trapezoid shape.
