Creatures of Love
The name for this item is taken from another Talking Heads song - mainly referencing children, however who doesn’t love their fur babies? Or animals in general? Why not announce your love to the world?
The pattern for this item was adapted from a pattern my paternal grandmother had collected somewhere along the way (she liked to leatherwork too). My Aunt discovered it and passed it on to me and given the recent explosion of flair on one’s daily carries, I figured it would make an excellent addition to the Lyric & Aster family.
Each Little Creature of Love measures approximately 3” in width and 3.25” in height with a snap closure and a small lobster clasp. The backs are remnants of scrap leather so they will be a surprise in a coordinating color.
Things I have tested that fit in them: change, a mini flashlight, wired earbuds, a tiny bottle of eyedrops, tightly folded doggy duty bags, a few individually wrapped pieces of Trident, SHOUT wipes, Dolla Dolla billz…

Please note all items in the Lyric & Aster store are handmade. They are crafted of pre-loved, dead stock or salvage. Meaning they have lived a life before and may have small blemishes or scuffs, spots, mild unevenness rust or a touch of verdigris. These are not considered flaws due to a) the nature of each item and b) I myself am human, not a machine – all items are upcycled – punched, stitched, sewn by hand.
